Our professional puppeteers and facilitators bring high-quality, character-led performance to every session, keeping audiences engaged and involved throughout.We tailor our work for different ages, settings and access needs, with a strong SEN-friendly ethos running through everything we do. DBS checked, fully insured, and experienced across education and public spaces, we provide all required risk assessments and documentation for peace of mind.

Roaming puppets and characters, improvisation and pop-up performances designed to create memorable family engagement at festivals, outdoor events and community celebrations. Or standard interactive storytelling from our cosy den with lights, blankets and books.
We also offer bespoke sessions and school events, including classroom takeovers, half-day immersive experiences, and hour-long curriculum-linked sessions tailored to your needs. And the option for subsidised fees for non-profit groups.
Practical Information
The OverTheres are based in South Wales and travel across the region (and beyond) to deliver our storytelling and puppetry experiences in schools, libraries, festivals and community settings.
Sessions typically range from 1–4 hours depending on the package, and are designed for children aged 4–10, though older children and mixed-age groups often enjoy and engage with the work too.

We work best with groups of up to around 30 children per session, and can adapt delivery for larger or smaller groups where needed. Our sessions are suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces, and we are flexible in adapting to your venue and setup.

We keep our technical requirements intentionally simple, with a low-tech approach. Basic microphones and speakers can be used if available, but are optional and not essential to delivery. We provide full risk assessments, public liability insurance, and DBS-checked practitioners for every booking.
