OverTheres Stories CIC – Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

OverTheres Stories CIC is committed to creating accessible, inclusive experiences for all children, families, artists, and community members. Accessibility is central to our mission to remove barriers to cultural participation, particularly for neurodivergent audiences, disabled people, and families who may face sensory, physical, financial, or social barriers to attending arts activities.

How We Make Our Work Accessible

We strive to ensure our workshops, performances, and communications are welcoming and inclusive by:

  • Delivering relaxed performances, where movement, noise, and varied responses are welcome.

  • Providing sensory-friendly environments, including lower sound levels, reduced lighting intensity where possible, and optional quiet spaces.

  • Using clear, visual communication and simple storytelling formats that support neurodivergent audiences.

  • Offering affordable or free performances and workshops to reduce financial barriers.

  • Selecting step-free, accessible venues wherever possible and sharing access information in advance.

  • Providing easy-read or visually clear printed materials upon request.

  • Being flexible in our workshop delivery to accommodate individual access needs.

  • Welcoming carers, support workers, and families to attend at no additional cost.

Access Information & Requests

We encourage audiences to contact us in advance to discuss any access requirements so we can make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
